There are various laws which help enable you to manage your family responsibilities. Some family friendly leave allows you to be paid for the time off, some do not. There are also different rights and lengths of time you can take off depending on why you need the time off, for instance to deal with a sick child or for maternity leave. Finally, there are family friendly provisions relating to flexible time and it could be a more permanent change, such as contractual changes to your working hours.
This can be confusing and unclear, we can offer advice and assistance with regards:
- adoption leave and pay
- flexible working
- parental leave
- part-time working
- paternity leave and pay
- pregnancy, maternity leave and pay
- shared parental leave
- redundancy during maternity leave
- time off for dependants
