The new Building Safety Bill, which was published on 5th July 2021, outlines changes to improve building standards following the Grenfell Tower disaster in 2017.

The government said that the Bill sets out “a clear pathway for the future on how residential buildings should be constructed and maintained” and will give “residents more power to hold builders and developers to account” and toughen “sanctions against those who threaten their safety”.

Details and analysis of the changes can be found in an article written by James Palmer & Hannah Lunn from our dispute resolution team, which is published on The Morrisons Group website
