Wills, Trusts, Tax & Probate Solicitor (Head of Department)
After over 20 years studying and then practising medicine culminating in her being admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons and working as a paediatric surgeon at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for sick children (amongst others), Pi Chieh decided to pursue her long-held interest in the law. With characteristic resolve, organisation and undoubted ability, she managed to combine her studies whilst continuing to practise medicine up until 2003. Since then, Pi Chieh has pursued her career in law on a full-time basis, specialising in wills, trusts, tax and probate.
Aside from being a fully qualified solicitor, Pi Chieh is also a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). She specialises in all aspects of private client work including preparing wills and lasting powers of attorney; Court of Protection procedures; setting up, management and termination of trusts; probate matters; administration of estates and inheritance tax mitigation. She derives particular satisfaction from helping clients and their families to preserve their personal wealth through lifetime and post death tax planning.
Outside of work, Pi Chieh continues to contribute some of her free time to charitable organisations and indulges her passion for travel. When not exploring new countries and cultures, she also enjoys painting and socialising with family and friends.
